- Deadline
- Expressions of interest close on July 12, 2026 at 11:59 PM CEST, Geneva time.
- Support offered
- Selected teams may receive strategy and governance support, partnership brokering, technical guidance, learning and evidence-generation support, resource-mobilization help, mentoring and catalytic seed funding.
- Funding level
- UNHCR states that support of up to USD 250,000 may be available in exceptional cases, while most initiatives are expected to receive lower levels of catalytic support appropriate to their stage and scaling pathway.
- Eligibility stage
- The expression of interest stage is open to organizations with proven concepts supporting forcibly displaced people that are ready to scale. Concept-only proposals are not eligible for the Accelerator.
- Full proposal condition
- At full proposal stage, applications must be led by, or jointly submitted with, either UNHCR teams or refugee-led organizations. Partnerships across humanitarian, development, academic, private-sector and community actors are strongly encouraged.
- Selection criteria
- Applications are assessed on problem and solution value, proof of concept and evidence, scaling readiness, feasibility of the scaling pathway, institutional ownership and partnerships, and potential impact at scale.
- Good application angle
- A strong EoI should show real-world implementation evidence, user validation, partnership ownership, a credible route to scale, and clear benefit for forcibly displaced or stateless people and host communities.
