Six-month research fellowship in Japan for PhD researchersWhy it matters
It is a strong route for researchers in the network who can connect with a Japanese university or national research institution. The fit is especially clear for natural sciences, engineering, medicine, agriculture, AI, applied modeling, computational research and other technically rigorous projects that would benefit from a Japan-based research stay.
Who should look at it
Non-Japanese researchers with a PhD, age 45 or younger at the time of application, full-time occupation in their home country, sufficient English or Japanese, no previous long-term stay in Japan, and prior acceptance from a host institution in Japan.
